Highlights

ESPN’s week-long coverage of MLS Cup 2008 will culminate with ABC’s live broadcast of adidas presents MLS Cup 2008 Sunday, Nov. 23, beginning at 3:30 p.m. ET, from Carson, Calif.  The high definition broadcast will feature Colombian striker Juan Pablo Angel and the New York Red Bulls vs. Argentinian midfielder Guillermo Barros Schelotto and the Columbus Crew in the first MLS Cup appearance for both teams.  Veteran soccer play-by-play commentator JP Dellacamera will call the match with soccer Hall of Famer and former captain of the U.S. Men’s National Team John Harkes providing analysis.  The ABC broadcast will also feature two sideline reporters, Allen Hopkins and Pedro Gomez, a first for an MLS Cup broadcast.  Read more...

College GameDay in Oklahoma


ESPN has reached an extensive agreement with the Bowl Championship Series (BCS), granting exclusive TV, radio, digital, international and marketing rights for 15 BCS games from January 2011 through January 2014. NASCAR Nationwide Series Season Ends on High Ratings Note

A season of improved ratings and viewership for the NASCAR Nationwide Series on ESPN2 ended on a high note this past weekend as the Ford 300 at Homestead-Miami Speedway delivered a 1.6 household coverage rating, an increase of 33 percent from the 1.2 rating for last year’s race that also aired on ESPN2.  Read more...
